About him
I was once told that "One day I would be happy". Time for me is running out. Go on make my day.
I was born in Bermuda in the West Indies as my Dad was in the Royal Navy and stationed there. I think Mum and Dad stayed there for several years . I have a Bermudian Birth Certificate so I could purchase a property over there!
I am a very independent man, trained by the military and well able to look after himself anywhere in any conditions.
Once very fit and I have tried to stay fit. I have gone to go to the Gym, ran in the Yeovil half Marathon a few years ago. I finished but don't ask me my position! I was once a 'Presenter' on Hospital Radio that has given me the confidence to talk to anyone and often do, starting a conversation in a supermarket que.
I worked In Morocco driving trucks of Holiday makers on two week SAFARI's around interesting parts of the country. In Libya sub-contracted to the Libyan army as a communications expert, and ran a communications centre for an American company in Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
If I see someone carrying a large box or shopping bag I will stop and ask if I can help, or to offer help to a disabled person getting out of a car. I put on my track suit every morning to jog around the corridors of this block of flats delivering the morning papers to residents who are not so mobile.
Otherwise my life is my own to do want to. I build radio controlled Tanks, Have a pilots licence to fly Drones. Read, cook, don't have a car nor TV, watch YouTube or DVD's from charity Shops. Have Just bought an Acoustic Guitar that keeps my fingers active.
I want to paint a picture of a tall, happy, healthy, friendly, chatty, and helpful man who has led an adventurous and hard working life and can see the funny side of life's complexities. "I get knocked down but I get up again" is my mantra.
FRIENDS RECOMENDATIONS; 'Ran' Fiennes the explorer I met through the Military once asked me if I would like to walk round the world with him on a expedition that he organised a long time ago!

The first date meet up can be alarming/disappointing. That first they don't look like you expected, seemingly older than the person you imagined. The word Date conjuring up expectations of who you met years ago. Best to meet someone with a completely open mind as to who is going to turn up. Presuming you have talked on the phone one should have an idea of what to talk about rather than it becoming an interview. Thanks.
If two people 'move in' with each other there will be 2 of everything TV's, Toasters, Ironing boards, you combine all your kit and when you break up the man leaves with nothing. You can hardly ask for your Ironing board back. It has happened to me twice just a few personal items in cardboard boxes. I will never go through that again.
