About him
I am a recently retired widower. I live by myself and am financially solvent. Despite being retired, I still work a few hours a week to keep my brain exercised. I am also active in my local church and work a day or two a week as a volunteer on my local heritage railway.
I have had a career holding senior positions in a variety of organisations and I have lectured around the world, including contributing to projects sponsored by the UN.
I used to be very sporty (was a reserve oarsman for the 1980 Olympics) but have had a number of injuries (plus age!) which means that I exercise less than I would like. I carry more weight than I would like, but still manage slow walks in the Swiss Alps (my home from home) albeit with reliance on walking poles. I am also a reasonably accomplished photographer (many magazine covers) specialising in landscapes, architecture and wildlife.

I am looking for someone who is both interesting and interested - especially in the affairs of the world. I am NOT into modern music, soaps and anything with the words celebrity or reality in it.
I miss good honest conversations and, being truthfully honest, snuggles. I like experimenting in the kitchen and travelling to beautiful places or places with great historic heritage. I am not looking for anything too serious, but I keep my options open in the right circumstances.
