Seeking an easy-going, friendly chap who enjoys the simple things in life.
The thing I seem to crave most in my life is tranquility, so if you enjoy the natural beauty of a sunset, a dappled forest or a babbling brook we may get along nicely! I'm not keen on crowded places or lots of noise, but with the right companion I can tolerate and even enjoy busy cities or rock concerts.
My hobbies nowadays are gardening, needlework, baking and generally creating things. I enjoy DIY and have spent many years renovating houses (and even building a new one), so I haven't allowed myself too much time for leisure pursuits.
I used to ski in my youth, and played badminton every week. I had many camping trips with the children and also enjoyed some adult weekends away with my siblings (Barcelona for my 50th was particularly memorable, and a very beautiful city). I usually take walking breaks with my sisters now, and we often end up at the Isle of Wight.
Now that the children have left home, I don't need to work quite so hard, and would enjoy finding new hobbies and interests - maybe some of yours?!
Walking is something I enjoy regularly, with an audiobook for company - it would be so much nicer to explore and chat with a companion.
I enjoy classical music, rock and blues, lately re-visiting Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, which I remember first hearing as a child in the 70's - fantastic. I love a good film as well as binge-worthy TV series, and often find myself watching the old black & white classics - simpler times. Some Like It Hot, The Lavender Hill Mob and The Ghost & Mrs Muir will always sway me.
I have two "children", both of whom live independently, and I have been divorced and single since the turn of the century (!) Oo-er - that makes me sound ancient!
My photos were taken on a trip to Thailand just before Christmas, so I look a bit red-faced and frizzy-haired I'm afraid - the humidity!

I'd like to find someone who distracts me from my work; someone I can distract too. A person to make plans with, so that other people's weekends don't always sound so much better than mine!
